ROMEO V. TURCAN is Professor of International Entrepreneurship and Organization Studies at Aalborg University. His current research interests relate to cross-disciplinary theory building in the areas of new venture and new sector emergence and legitimation in developing and developed markets. He has published in the Journal of International Entrepreneurship, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, Venture Capital: An International Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance, International Small Business Journal, Advances in International Management, Administrative Sciences and Foresight. Dr. Turcan holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Air Force Engineering Military Academy in Latvia and a PhD and an MSc degree from Strathclyde University in the United Kingdom. jonas strømfeldt eduardsen, assistant PROFESSOR
JONAS STRØMFELDT EDUARDSEN is a trained business economist and is currently an Assistant Professor of International Business at Aalborg University. His research focuses on firm internationalisation, in particular the challenges facing small and medium-sized firms seeking to expand their business abroad and how these challenges can be successfully met. His current research focuses on how decision-makers in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in international business perceive and acts upon the risks to which the firms are exposed when doing business in foreign markets. In addition, his research examines how the techno-economic paradigm of the information technology age has brought about new structures and processes in international business. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CENTRE
THE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CENTRE (IBC) focuses on research in the area of internationalization of firms and development of emerging economies, both small and big. The Centre has been globally active within teaching, research and collaboration with business since 1984 when it launched its unique MSc program in International Business with a strong focus on cultural diversity and problem-based learning. In collaboration with leading Danish companies such as Grundfos, IBC has organised numerous conferences and workshops bringing together scholars and practitioners such as the recently held workshops on "Global Mindset and Internationalization of Small Economies and Firms".
